Food Analysis
The NSW Food Authority is a government agency that works to ensure food sold in the State is safe and correctly labelled and that consumers are able to make informed choices about the food they eat. Licensed seafood businesses must comply with the sampling and analyses provisions of the Seafood Safety Scheme (clause 121) of Food Regulation 2010.
The Coffs Harbour Laboratory is a NATA accredited laboratory and specialises in analysing seafood products such as oyster, pipi and fish.
Our testing and
analysis includes:
- E.coli
- Total Plate Count (TPC)
- Biotoxins
As a NATA accredited laboratory, we monitor the results against national and international guidelines and provide advice on best management practices to ensure seafood products are safe to consume.
